Mayor Drives Out Red Cross for the sake of Loved Ones (Barangay Election Candidates)

This grandfatherly Mayor, Leoncio Evasco, Jr. for deep love and affection for his Barangay official aspirant candidates in the coming October Barangay (Village) Elections, drove away the team of Red Cross distributing relief goods.

It is difficult to fault the Mayor, he is merely human anyway. This government official wants a solid team of barangay ward leaders in the 2016 elections. It is possible that he himself or a member of his family will run for office in the next synchronized national and local elections.

After much devastation especially in the Mayor's town, a lot of his constituents are suffering. ABC 5's Erwin Tulfo saw for himself how hard it is for the people of the town of Maribojoc, Bohol, a municipality cut off from the rest of the world just like the entire Aklan Province in the aftermath of Typhoon Frank (not the senator).

It was in a moment of hurt, lust for aid, and anger, that the Mayor in an outburst condemned the aid-relief workers for not giving in to his demands to give the relief goods for distribution to his Barangay officials - about 85% of whom are running for posts in the coming Barangay elections.

As a result of his emotional displays, justifying his errors over national media, the Chairman of the Commission on Elections and the Members of the Commission, ruled that the elections in Maribojoc that was devastated anyway, notwithstanding the eager relief-giving barangay official candidates of Mayor Evasco, will be postponed to November 2013.

The moral of this situation is never to take away the food from the mouth of your very own children and grandchildren or you might be banned from running in elections perpetually.
